On June 7th, Yunnan Ethnic Village in Kunming was filled with music, color, and celebration as over 2,000 members of the Miao community gathered to mark the 2025 Miao Huashan Festival (花山节, Flower Mountain Festival). Intangible Heritage Market: Bridging Tradition and Modernity
The afternoon buzzed with excitement at the Ethnic Unity Square, blending tradition with innovation. Miao artisans demonstrated their exceptional embroidery skills, while musicians performed enchanting melodies on traditional lusheng instruments. Particularly popular was the “blocking wine” tradition, where visitors experienced firsthand the warm hospitality of the Miao community.
